Dr. Malek Sitez is a researcher, political analyst, and human rights advocate with more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of law, international relations, and post-conflict reconstruction. He currently serves as Chairperson of the HRD+ Steering Committee and as an Associate Professor of Political Science at Selinus University.
Dr. Sitez holds master’s degrees in international law, human rights, and international relations, as well as a doctorate in political science and philosophy. His academic work spans law, politics, and philosophy, and he has authored numerous books and articles in these fields. He also contributes as a global analyst and researcher for international institutions, offering expertise on governance, conflict, and transitional justice.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Sitez has collaborated with academia, civil society, media, think tanks, and human rights organizations in Afghanistan, where his research and advocacy have informed debate and policy. He is a recognized commentator on Afghan politics and regional dynamics, frequently providing analysis for both national and international media outlets.
Dr. Sitez’s professional experience extends globally, having worked in post-war and conflict situations across the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Central Asia, South Africa, and the former Soviet Union. His work reflects a sustained commitment to human rights, democratic governance, and the pursuit of peace and justice.
