Ms. Cristina Gallach is a journalist and former international official with extensive experience in the United Nations, the European Union, NATO, and the Spanish government. She is currently Secretary of the Board of GWL Voices and a member of the advisory body of AMAE (Asociación de Mujeres Afganas en España).
From 2018 to 2024, Ms. Gallach served in the Spanish Government as Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and for Ibero-America and the Caribbean (2020–2021), High Commissioner for the 2030 Agenda, and Commissioner for EU funds on projects related to artificial intelligence. At the United Nations, she was Under-Secretary-General for Communications and Public Information (2015–2017). Previously, she worked for the Council of the European Union in several positions, including as Head of the Public Relations Unit in the Directorate-General for Information and Communication, and as a spokesperson.
Her career reflects decades of experience in multilateral diplomacy, communications, and advocacy for international cooperation.
